Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch (MWDW) has been at the forefront of marine mammal science on the Isle of Man since 2006.
We work voluntarily year round to ensure the safeguarding of whales, dolphins, and porpoises (cetaceans) in Manx territorial waters through non-invasive research and public awareness efforts.

Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch

*Call for help on our research vessel to get it ready ASAP in time for the season*. We are looking for people with knowledge of boat electronics who can help our guy Richard sort the engines and wiring out on our twin engine Aquabell, moored in Peel. We also need a team of people who can help clean the boat. Richard is on Galps most Sundays and needs help getting her ready so if you can assist in any way and lend your expertise, please email him on We also require skippers and crew for the season; preference is given to folks with flexibility who can be available at short notice. This is a fantastic opportunity to see dolphins and whales with our research team, who will train you how to operate the vessel around cetaceans. Surveys take place in low wind and can last up to 8 hours. Again, email Richard. We need a lot of help from our lovely supporters to finally get Galps out to sea after 2 years of struggles, issues and people letting us down. ... See MoreSee Less
