Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch is a charity based on the Isle of Man dedicated to the ongoing conservation of our local whale, dolphin and porpoise species, collectively known as cetaceans. We work year round conducting non-invasive research to monitor the health of the cetacean population and their habitat. We also work hard to raise public awareness of these animals which is a vital part to their ongoing conservation.

Land-based surveyor training

May 21, 2017, 2:00pm - May 21, 2017, 3:00pm

Are you a wildlife enthusiast? Would you like to develop new skills whilst assisting with the ongoing conservation of whales, dolphins and porpoises in Manx waters? We are looking for eager nature lovers to join our team of local land-based surveyors for the second year of our Manx Lottery funded project. The workshop will cover species identification and training in how to conduct a land-based survey. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the field, find a new relaxing hobby and meet like minded people. Attendance is free but donations are extremely welcome. Booking is essential, please email education@mwdw.net or phone Jen 393496. There will also be a workshop in Port St Mary on 13th May
