Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch is a charity based on the Isle of Man dedicated to the ongoing conservation of our local whale, dolphin and porpoise species, collectively known as cetaceans. We work year round conducting non-invasive research to monitor the health of the cetacean population and their habitat. We also work hard to raise public awareness of these animals which is a vital part to their ongoing conservation.

It's Grey Seal pupping season and the Manx Wildlife Trust have issued some important advice on what to do if you come across a live pup on a beach. Also, if anyone sadly finds a deceased marine mammal please also contact the Manx Wildlife Trust as they have a strandings team who will deal with it accordingly. ... See MoreSee Less

We have had a lot of reports of baby seals hauling out on various beaches around the Island. Unless they are injured please leave them where they are. It's very likely that their mum will be nearby, even if you can't see her. She won't approach the pup whilst people are there so please keep your distance and that includes your dogs. Even small pups can give you a nasty bite.
