Meet The Team
Tom Felce – Director
Tom is a qualified Marine Biologist and has worked as a marine mammal science for 17 years. He took over the running of Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch in 2007 and is the head of our research department.
Bryony Manley -Researcher
Bryony has an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in marine biology and worldwide experience in studying cetaceans in the wild. Bryony first volunteered with MWDW in 2013 as part of her masters, and returned the following year to conduct a short acoustic project. After a little time away gaining even more experience, Bryony has returned to MWDW for the 2017 season to help develop new areas of our research.
Jen Adams – Outreach and Education Manager
Jen has a passion for teaching people about the natural world and has worked in the field of environmental education since 2009. She joined MWDW in 2012 as a research assistant and returned the following year to set up the Outreach and Education Department. She currently co-runs the charity.
Ian Wilcock – Chairman
Ian joined Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch in 2009 as a volunteer aboard our old survey vessel Grampus owned by the founder John Galpin (Galps). In 2010 at the request of Galps he qualified as a Day Skipper after doing the R.Y.A course. He retired in 2008 from my own successful company and brings to the charity a wide knowledge of business skills, enthusiasm for wildlife and time.
