We work voluntarily year round to ensure the safeguarding of whales, dolphins, and porpoises (cetaceans) in Manx territorial waters through non-invasive research and public awareness efforts.

Here is an interesting article about fishing tackle and the impact it can have on marine life if not properly disposed of. There was a case just a day or two ago of a Cormorant in Ramsey area that died from being caught up in fishing line and hook. There are many tackle recycling schemes worldwide and one on this list from the UK. Perhaps its time the Isle of Man had something similar?
